A feeling she finds in her affinity with nature. Walking, slowing down and watching, form the core of her practice. On her houseboat, surrounded by water, or during her hikes through the mountains - again and again, she looks for places that trigger a sense of wonder in her. In her drawings, she makes this experience tangible: tranquil moments in which nature, time and connection                      https://www.moya.museum/en/exhibitions/45-sven-verhaeghe-aleida-van-dijk-clear
February - April 2025                                                                                                                                                             Willem Twee Kunstruimte                                                                                                    Nature is perhaps the most resilient organ we know. No matter how many changes or disruptions occur, nature always proves capable of recovering. It's a comforting thought that recovery can still occur after major changes.
The exhibition Resilient Nature presents the work of two artists inspired by nature. For Aleida van Dijk, nature has been a safe place since childhood, a place where she can shelter and reflect. Near water, high in the trees, or deep in the mountains, she experiences a sense of security. She walks, slows down, and observes the world around her attentively. She transforms her observations into drawings that are as precise as they are mysterious. https://www.willem-twee.nl
